Soon, A Giant Balloon Could Leisurely Float You To The Edge Of Space

February 25, 2015

World View Enterprises has developed a high-altitude balloon system that can lift passengers to the edge of space. The balloon technology will allow people to experience a unique journey to the stratosphere, which will provide a magnificent view of the Earth from the edge of space. The company plans to offer this service at a relatively low cost and has already had significant interest in the project. The balloon system consists of a helium-filled balloon, which will lift a capsule containing passengers to an altitude of 30 km, which is almost three times higher than commercial airplanes fly. The capsule, with a pressurized cabin, will provide ample space for the passengers to move around and experience the journey. The entire trip will take around 6 hours, including two hours for ascent, two hours at the edge of space, and two hours for descent. The company has completed 25 test flights and has already had significant interest in the project. The balloon system could be used for various applications, including space tourism, scientific research, and commercial uses such as high-altitude imaging, telecommunications, and remote sensing. The balloon system would provide a more affordable and accessible alternative to traditional rocket launches, making it possible to conduct research and exploration at higher altitudes without the need for costly infrastructure.
