Adrian Grenier Talks New Role as Chief Earth Advocate for World View

Actor Adrian Grenier, known for his role as Vincent Chase in HBO series Entourage, has been appointed as the first chief Earth advocate for space tourism company World View.

The company plans to take passengers almost 23 miles above the Earth in a high-tech balloon and capsule, offering unprecedented access to space to everyday people. Grenier's role as chief Earth advocate will allow him to welcome people back to Earth and enable them to rediscover their relationship with the planet.

The initiative offers an opportunity for people to reconnect with the environment and advocate for the planet, which is in line with Grenier's history of working with nature and environmental climate issues. The overview effect, where seeing the Earth from above reminds us of how precious it is, is expected to be experienced by the passengers.

SIERRA NEVADA CORPORATION - In partnership with World View, Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) successfully demonstrated performance of its rapidly deployable High-Altitude Balloon (HAB), completing launch, mission performance and recovery of the uncrewed platform for stratospheric communications and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR). The flight was a critical part of the company’s U.K. Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) Project Aether Flight 1 Assessment Phase contract.
